Clubs
Along with court hire and pay and play we also host a number of badminton clubs, both senior and junior, to provide a vibrant hub for the sport.
Jesmond Dene
Jesmond Dene Badminton Club play at the Tyneside Badminton Badminton Centre at the following times:
Winter: Monday and Thursday evenings 7.00 -10.00pm
Summer: Monday evening 8:00pm-10:00pm
The club competes in the Northumberland League.
Teams: 2 Mens’ teams, 1 Ladies’ team, 2 Mixed teams

Newcastle Chinese Badminton Club play here at the Tyneside Badminton Centre.
During the winter: Fridays and Sundays 7:00pm-10:00pm
Summer club (from first week in April): Thursday Evenings 7:00-10:00pm

St Gabriel’s Badminton Club
St Gabriel’s Badminton Club play at the Tyneside Badminton Badminton Centre at the following times:
Winter: Monday evening 7.00 -10.00pm
Thursday evening 7.00 – 10.00pm
The club competes in the Northumberland League.
Teams: 4 Mens Teams, 2 Ladies Teams and 4 Mixed Teams

Telecom Badminton Club
Telecom Badminton Club play at the Tyneside Badminton Badminton Centre at the following times:
Winter: Tuesday evening 7.00 – 10.00 pm
The club competes in the Northumberland League.
Teams: 1 Mens’ team (Premier Division), 1 Ladies’ team (Premier Division), 2 Mixed teams (Premier and “A” Division)
Tyneside Sharks (juniors)
*Because of the current situation regarding Covid-19, this session is currently not running. We are reviewing the situation on a weekly basis so check the website at 5pm on Fridays for any updates.*
Tyneside Sharks Junior Badminton Club welcome players of all standard of play from 6* – 18 years of age
Sharks (11-18 years old) £5.50
Saturday 3-5pm
Sessions are run by qualified coaches and combine skill development with game play
*Children under 8 years of age must have a parent in attendance.
Your club could play at the TBC...
Clubs from other sports are also invited to apply to hire space at the centre. If you have specific days and times in mind, then get in touch to express your interest.
