On Sunday we hosted our final Social Doubles Tournament before the competitive badminton season gets into full swing here at Tyneside Badminton Centre.
It was a great turnout as usual, with over ten pairs entering the tournament.
In the first-round teams split for two round-robins which was then followed by a redraw of the top teams and the bottom teams from each group.
We were witness to some extremely competitive, and close, games in both groups throughout the day.
The final game, the decider, was a thrilling encounter between our two top teams and determined the winner and runner up of the tournament.
Well done to Fam and Chan (left) who won the tournament after a close three-ender against Giby and Jithin.
